These terms apply when you use the Mateo website, web app, and Android app. By using Mateo, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Mateo.
Mateo
Mateo is a personal assistant. It finds things that need your attention and carries out tasks for you, including in apps you connect.
Mateo is in early access. It is free for now, and daily usage limits apply. Features may change, pause, or stop.
Your account
You must be at least 16 to use Mateo. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for activity in your account.
What Mateo does for you
When you connect an app, you allow Mateo to act in it within the permissions you grant: for example, to send email, create events or tasks, fill in and submit forms, or post messages. Mateo may carry out such actions when it judges that this is what you asked for, and it may ask you first when it is unsure.
You are responsible for the requests you give Mateo and for actions taken on your behalf. Check important results. You can disconnect an app at any time.
Acceptable use
Do not use Mateo to break the law, harm or harass others, send spam, infringe others’ rights, access data you are not allowed to access, or interfere with Mateo or try to get around its limits.
We may limit, suspend, or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
Your content
You keep your rights in the content you give Mateo. You allow us to use it only to provide and improve Mateo, as described in the Privacy Policy.
AI output
Mateo uses AI, and it can make mistakes. Its answers are not professional legal, medical, financial, or other advice.
Other services
Apps and websites that Mateo works with are run by other companies under their own terms. We are not responsible for them.
Disclaimers and liability
Mateo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or opportunities, arising from your use of Mateo.
Ending use
You can stop using Mateo and delete your account at any time in settings.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and tell you in the product when a change is significant. If you keep using Mateo after a change, the new terms apply.
